Handing the Shame Back

Survivor Interview: Reg Johnston

Gloria Masters

Reg Johnston
Survivor. Trauma Informed AOD Clinician. Survivor Advocate

Reg was abused by his sister 13 years older than him, who groomed him at the age of 12 mainly through the use of pornography. His home life consisted of confused boundaries, with secrets and lies always a feature. He wants people to know that drugs and alcohol don’t define you, in most cases they are just symptoms of the abuse that occurred.
