Every year, we come together on Global Awareness Day to raise awareness of child sexual abuse, share ways to prevent it, and honour adult survivors, including those who didn’t make it.

This is a global silent epidemic. It's up to all of us, as a community, to shift the silence.

Wherever you are in the world, we invite you to take part in three simple but powerful ways:

❤️ Join us for a 30-minute walk at 10am your local time, wearing red, white, and black to honour this cause.

❤️ Swap your profile picture with the Handing the Shame Back logo to raise awareness.

❤️ Share the Global Hand Sign for U16s, a non-verbal way for children to signal they are being sexually abused and are not safe, with at least one other person.

If you are in Auckland, New Zealand, we invite you to join our team for a 30-minute walk followed by a BBQ at One Tree Hill Domain on Sunday 14 June at 10am. We will meet on the field by the playground.

Bring your family, friends, and even your fur babies. Everyone is welcome! Mark your calendar now:
